Working Hands is a privately-owned clinic that specialises in managing conditions of the lower arm; hand, wrist and elbow.

The Working Hands Clinic was founded in 2005.  It was the first Private Hand Therapy Clinic operating within the Southern Suburbs and was established in response to a gap in specialist hand therapy services particularly servicing the Southern and Eastern residents of Wellington.

From the humble beginnings of operation as a sole trader and having three children in between, this clinic has now grown to include four highly experienced Registered Hand Therapists who proudly hold over 80 years of experience between them.

All of our therapists are qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, recognised as Registered Hand Therapists by both ACC and Hand Therapy New Zealand. We work closely with Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgeons, local GPs, case managers (for both ACC and private insurers) and other allied health professionals.

We have clients of all ages and will cater treatment to your individual needs. No referral is necessary. We are able to process ACC forms.*

If required, we can refer you for further investigations or specialist care.

If you are eligible for ACC, your consultation and splinting costs will be covered.

*Please note—ACC forms for work-related gradual process injury claims will need to be completed by your General Practitioner.
